Under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) program, the BISP smart card was initiated for cash disbursement of funds to every deserving person. NADRA played a crucial role of identifying the rightful persons under the BISP programs by applying various biometric checks. These payments are made through partner banks to the beneficiaries through a highly transparent mechanism. Later grants were given to the families through phone to phone banking. Beneficiaries were issued with a SIM and cell phone at NADRA counter to receive SMS for cash grant. After presenting SMS and valid NIC copy, the beneficiaries receive cash grant by Point of Sale (PoS) franchise.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered the re-registration of the Online Registration BISP 2022. I would like to explain to you why the Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022 introduced by the PTI govt is now being replaced by the Benazir Income Support Programme.
The first people to receive assistance were PM Online Registration BISP 2022, launched in 2008 immediately after the PP government took office. He used to donate money to poor and needy people for ten years from 2008 to 2018 and helped in the same way.
This aid was given on behalf of Benazir Bhutto but it was given to poor and needy people on behalf of the Benazir income support Program and this aid is given every three and a half months. Rs 4,000 was given to poor deserving women who were poor.Then, when Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan came to power in 2018, he said people should vote for Benazir’s Income Support programme. The name of this program should be changed.
The name of this program is then replaced with Ehsas Kafalat Program Online Registration 2022. So Prime Minister Imran Khan changed the name of this program to Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022 i.e. like Benazir Bhutto changed the name of Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022 to Benazir Income Support Programme.
It was given to poor and deserving people who qualified but due to inflation Prime Minister Imran Khan increased this aid to Rs 14,000. Now that the government has changed, the new Prime Minister of Pakistan has been Shahbaz Sharif.
New PM said We will run this program as a Benazir Income Support Programme because he used to distribute Shaheed Mohtarma who is part of his estate to these people.
